Amanda Edgcombe

New Work

Wednesday 17th July – Sunday 25th August, 2019

Born in London, Edgcombe graduated in Printmaking from the Slade School before being awarded a Fellowship in Architectural Glass at Central Saint Martins College of Art. She has continued to exhibit and work as a freelance designer since relocating to Suffolk.  Of her work, she says, “I want the work to feel spontaneous and considered simultaneously… to feel tactile and engaging”

This show includes work on paper, canvas and board using media and techniques from her experience as a painter, print maker, glass artist and interior/landscape designer. The surface of all the works are a cross pollination of ideas and references that reflect a continued interest in describing the fluid ambiguity of aesthetic and ever changing patterns that surround us.This show includes work on paper, canvas and board using media and techniques from her experience as a painter, print maker, glass artist and interior/landscape designer.
