Darsham Seeds: Ageratum houstonianum ‘Blue Horizon’

We couldn’t do without this for colour all summer and for buckets of cut flowers. Equally happy in partial shade as in full sun, they will grow 60cm tall and form lots of side branches for additional flowers.  So much more satisfying and graceful than the dwarf ones.

We sow them in March and plant out in May for flowers from about June through October.  The flowers last nearly a week in the vase.  Slugs and snails don’t bother them and even the rabbits leave them alone.  From beginning to end a very easy plant to grow . We dot them through the borders as well as giving them their own bed. The colour is especially vibrant in the evening.
