Darsham Seeds: Dianthus Barbatus (Sweet William) - ‘Auricula-Eyed Mix’

Charming and old-fashioned but still one of the best and easiest plants to grow for arm-loads of cut flowers.  The perfume can be strong but never cloying.  These will grow to about 45cm.  We love growing them in large numbers and we can cut from them nearly every day.  They last for up to a week in the vase.  Sow late spring through summer and plant out in November for flowers in May-July the following year.  They can self-seed.  Best in full sun and a well-drained soil.  Quite drought tolerant.
